Phuket and Pattaya with kids: what to do in the evening

The kids are done with the sea, it is hot or pouring outside, and bedtime is three hours away. How to set up a calm evening in your room, and which games suit children by their PEGI age rating.

With kids at the seaside, the day usually ends before the kids run out of energy. After the beach and dinner there are a couple of hours when you are not going anywhere, but bedtime is not happening yet either. Add heat or a downpour — and in the rainy season, roughly mid-May to mid-October, downpours are frequent — and the evening in your room needs a plan.

What works

  • A short trip under a roof. In Phuket — the Aquaria Phuket aquarium in the Central Phuket Floresta mall. In Pattaya, use the same rule: an indoor place close to where you stay, so the way back does not eat the evening.
  • Dinner in. Food delivery saves one more trip with tired kids.
  • Playing together. Not “put on a cartoon and go to the balcony”, but sitting down and playing next to them — that is what kids remember.

Which games suit kids

Rent Station consoles come with games installed. Go by the PEGI age rating — it is printed on boxes in Europe, and you can check any title at pegi.info:

  • FC 25 — PEGI 3. Football for all ages, two can play.
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man and Uncharted — PEGI 16. For teenagers.
  • GTA V, God of War, Mortal Kombat 1, Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part I — PEGI 18. For grown-ups, once the kids are asleep.

Parental controls

If you sign in with your own PlayStation Network account, PS5 family settings work: an age level for games and daily playtime limits. You set them up the same way as at home. Sign out before the console goes back — the courier checks.

A second controller

Playing together beats taking turns. Ask for a second controller when you book — we will check whether one is free for your dates.

How it works

  1. Send your dates, city and area.
  2. We confirm a console is free and send one number: rental and delivery together.
  3. The courier brings the console to your hotel, condo or villa. You need a TV with HDMI — the cable comes in the kit.
  4. On the last day the courier picks the kit up.

Low-season prices: 3 days — 1,000 ฿, a week — 2,000 ฿, a month — 4,000 ฿. Delivery in Phuket is 400–800 ฿ depending on the area; in Pattaya, on request. No deposit, cash on delivery. Cancel for free until the courier has left.
